The 10F model featured an optional "Two Speed Gear" built into the rear hub. It was the first production twin-cylinder Harley to have more than a single speed. Footboards were standard on all 1914 models.

For a brief period, Harley made front-mounted truck bodies that attached to the chassis. They were dropped in favor of the commercial sidecars (introduced in 1914), which could be easily detached.
